A friend of mine was on holiday in Kenya recently and her tweets reminded me that I had promised another friend from that part of the world that I would write a blog post in praise of her coffee.
I checked out A Taste of Kenya at the Dublin Coffee Festival (yes such a thing exists, and yes I was bouncy bouncy after attending /twitch) and bought a bag to bring home with me. It’s really lovely coffee, has a full-bodied taste with a little kick in it. When I get up early enough in the morning, I make a cup of it and I’m sorted for the morning. The business is family-run so if you’re into your Fairtrade, you really can’t get a lot fairer than that! And should there be any uncertainty, there are even guidelines about how to brew the perfect cup of coffee. It is possible to order online via the site and the prices are very reasonable.
I wish Zipporah and Anastasia the best of luck with their business and heartily recommend Taste of Kenya to my fellow writers!
